  1. Terms and Conditions

The following information applies to the entirely of the thegraduatenetwork.ca, regardless of whether individual pages don’t contain a disclaimer notification. All disclaimers, terms and conditions as set out are part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Graduate Network makes the thegraduatenetwork.ca (the “Website”) available to each individual who registers with, and has their application accepted by The Graduate Network (a “Network Member”, a “user” or a “you”), subject to these Terms and Conditions. By entering this Website you accept these Terms and Conditions, which results in a binding contract between us and you, and is an agreement that you are eligible to use on www.thegraduatenetwork.ca. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions and do not intend to honour them, you must not use this Website.

The Graduate Network reserves the right to reject any application and terminate any users for any reason we see fit.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change from time to time. Your continued access and use of the Website will mean that you agree to be bound by the current version of the Terms and Conditions.

  1. Information about us

Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to The Graduate Network, 344 Trafalgar Rd

www.thegraduatenetwork.ca (the ‘Website’) is operated by The Graduate Network (“we”, “us”, “The Graduate Network”).

We operate out of our headquarters in Toronto, 125 Blue Jays Way, under Canadian Jurisdiction. Our mission is to make the application process for current students and recent graduates in Canada as simple and transparent as possible. 

  1. Keeping the Website safe- your agreement

By using the Website, you declare that:

  • All registration information you submit is truthful, accurate and up to date;
  • You are 16 years or older;
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account;
  • You cannot use the Website for any unwarranted or illegal purpose;
  • You are responsible for your behaviour and any data, text, information, screen names, photos, profiles and links that you submit, post, and display;
  • You cannot hack or alter the Website or modify any other website so as to falsely imply that it is affiliated with The Graduate Network;
  • You cannot not plant any worms or viruses or any software or code of a destructive nature via your User Content or through the Website and its services;
  • You will not post User Content, create or submit unwanted email to any members or otherwise post unwanted comments on The Graduate Network’s social media channels that are conceived to be bullying, abuse, harassment, threats or intimidation towards any The Graduate Network member, follower, client, employee or guest;
  • You cannot copy any part of the Website, except those explicitly set out in these Terms and Conditions;
  • You cannot use the Website or its content to generate income of any kind, other than income gained through accepting an offer of employment that came via applying on thegraduatenetwork.ca. Any other use of materials on the Website (including, without limitation, reproduction for a purpose other than that noted above and any modification, distribution or republication) without our prior written permission is forbidden;
  • You cannot offer any contest on the Website without our prior written consent.
  • You cannot use any “page-scrape”, “robot”, “spider” or other automatic device, program, algorithm, or attempt with any related processes to gain unauthorised access of, duplicate or observe any part of the Website.

Users should know that we possess the ability to block or delete your profile and/or cancel your registration if we believe that any information is incorrect or falsified. If a Network Member threatens the safety of the Website, that user will be solely responsible for any subsequent losses incurred as a result; this includes but is not limited to any losses incurred by The Graduate Network, its partners and appropriate third parties, any losses incurred by other Network Members or by individuals viewing the Website.

  1. Fair usage – what you are allowed to do

The Website is made available for your use in connection with your participation with The Graduate Network. As a result, we accept that:

  • You may make electronic copies of parts of the Website or print a copy of any page of the Website for research purposes;
  • You can decide how much information you want to share with us through your privacy settings, which is located in the edit profile section
  1. Consent

Once you become a member of The Graduate Network and explicitly agree to our Terms and Conditions, you consent for us to share your information within The Graduate Network. Only with prior consent will we share your information with companies registered as partners and clients of The Graduate Network, as well as selected third parties that we deem appropriate for our members benefit.

  1. No warranty and reliance on information included within Website

All information and data included on this Website is intended as guidance only. Your use of such information and data is therefore your responsibility.

Opportunities listed on thegraduatenetwork.ca are subject to availability and to any selection criteria at the discretion of the organisation posting the job. Our role is that of an intermediary between you and the applicable organisation. The Graduate Network is not a recruitment agency. We will do all we reasonably can to ensure successful delivery by the organisation but we do not act as agent for that organisation and we accept no liability for the quality of any services supplied by the organizations on the website. 

  1. Hyperlinks

The Graduate Network includes links to external websites and services owned by participating companies and/or third parties. These are provided for members interested in this information and have the intent of helping you land your dream career. We accept no liability for your use of these websites and/or services and are not responsible or liable for the content of the linked site. We do our best to make sure that the external links are for the users benefit. As such we vet each link. However, we accept no responsibility for reviewing changes made to the linked site.

Other companies/individuals are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to create a hyperlink to www.thegraduatenetwork.ca for non-commercial purposes, on the condition that such link does not portray The Graduate Network in a false or defamatory. The linking site may not comprise of illegal or adult material. Furthermore, the linking site may not include any material that is offensive or harassing by nature.

  1. Intellectual property rights

The intellectual property including all design, text, graphics, The Graduate Network logo and other material and the manner in which it is chosen and arranged on the Website is owned by us and/or our licensors.

As previously mentioned under these Terms and Conditions, you are not permitted to download, copy, store, adapt or change in any way the content of these web pages for any purpose whatsoever without The Graduate Network giving explicit authorization. The Graduate Network possess the right to refuse authorization at our discretion.

  1. Limitation of liability

You give up any right to declare any claims or allegations of any nature in opposition to The Graduate Network that occur out of your use of the www.thegraduatenetwork.ca, its services, social media channels and content made available through the www.thegraduatenetwork.ca. This includes, without limitation, any claims or allegations relating to the supposed infringement of proprietary rights, supposed inaccuracy of website content, or claim that The Graduate Network has or should indemnify, defend or hold harmless you or any third party from any claim or allegation arising from your use of www.thegraduatenetwork.ca. Simply put, you use our website at your own risk.


  1. Enquiries or complaints

We are committed to helping our members. Therefore, you can submit any enquires or complains by either logging onto the website and filling out the contact us form or messaging us on our social media channels.

  1. Risk of transmission

It should be brought to your attention that the internet is not an entirely secure or reliable entity. As such, it may give rise to risk of manipulation or attempted fraud.

The Graduate Network nor any of its directors or employees accepts any liability for any data transmission errors such as data loss or damage or alteration of any kind. This includes but is not limited to any direct or indirect damage, that arises out of the use of The Graduate Network’s products or services. Nor is does The Graduate Network accept any liability in relation to the confidentiality or security of email communication.

  1. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Any amendments to our Terms and Conditions will be made on this page. We will try our best to notify you of any changes but we advise you to check this page from time to time as by using our website, the Terms and Conditions are binding to you. Some of the stipulations contained in these Terms and Conditions are subject to replacement by stipulations or notices published elsewhere on the Website.

We may also suspend or terminate The Graduate Network at any time, but we will give as much notice as we reasonably can before we do so. In the event this happens, all Network Member accounts will be suspended or terminated. If we sell or transfer The Graduate Network to another company we may transfer all of our rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions without any further consent and may disclose or transfer all information we hold about Network Members or prospective Network Members to a prospective or actual new owner. Such a disclosure or transfer will not alter or affect the rights of such Network Members in respect of the use that can be made of such information by such other company.

  1. Termination of Website and Member Accounts

We reserve the right to terminate thegraduatenetwork.ca for any reason, at any time, without notice, at our sole discretion. The Graduate Network also reserves the right to deny you access to the Website and remove you from The Graduate Network at any time.

A Network Member can close their membership at any time deleting their account in settings. If a Network Member’s membership is closed their rights to access any aspect of The Graduate Network’s services are terminated with effect from the date of notification.

  1. Law and jurisdiction

The Terms and Conditions laid before you and your use of the Website, which includes but is not limited to any disputes, controversies, proceedings or claims of whatever nature that arise out of or are in any way related to these Terms and Conditions, their formation or this Website, shall be determined by and interpreted in accordance with Canadian Law.

By using this Website you accept that any dispute under these Terms and Conditions or arising out of using thegraduatenetwork.ca shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Canadian courts.

Lastly, you are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of the country from which you are using this Website.

  1. Membership

In order to become a member of thegraduatenetwork.ca you must be studying at, or have recently graduated from, one of the following universities:

  • Universitié de Montreal

  • Queen’s University
  • Ryerson University

  • Western University
  • Wilfred Laurier University
  • York University


If you do not meet this criterion, The Graduate Network reserves the right to deny membership. In the event that a member is found lying about their identity in order to have become a member, The Graduate Network reserves the right to terminate the membership.
