Department Overview
Working within the TD Waterhouse Private investment Counsel Business (PIC) the role will focus on the development and implementation of the intranet, communication and social media strategy. The evolution of the strategy needs to consider design and layout of the PIC sites, consistency within the TD intranet and communication framework, integration of multiple information sources, interaction model with field professionals and updating currently site content and links. The role will work directly with PIC leadership and other TD Wealth partners to gain approval on model, strategy, operational process and execution of plan through the co-op work term.

Job Description

  • Develop strategy and execution plan for PIC intranet
  • Solicit and prioritize direct salesforce feedback into development of strategy
  • Primary responsibility is to help us improve the PIC employee experience, by ensuring that support materials are logically organized and updated
  • Need to review and understand all of the PIC procedures and processes, and the documents that support this
  • Need to identify procedures that are duplicated, confusing or out of date and identify these for updates
    • Can work with LOB SME to update these procedures
  • Need to recommend a new way to organize the procedures and job aids on the PIC intranet, and work with the Wealth intranet team to reorganize these into a more logical structure
    • Also requires reviewing related resource sites (Actimize, WPMP) to ensure this content is consolidated
    • Need to identify procedures / job aids that are not PIC specific (pan-Wealth), and ensure they are properly posted / linked in the right places
  • Work directly with PWM marketing to develop social media strategy which can include the following:
    • Support adoption of Social Media tool with PIC field professionals
    • Support in the development of content
    • Active posting of content to support amplification of PIC business

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Finance, Investment Management or Marketing/Communications
  • Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • Understanding or previous experience working with investment management organization would be an asset
  • Be able to work independently and in a team environment, on multiple tasks
  • Possess excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet multiple deadlines and prioritize activities
  • Exhibit particularly strong attention to detail along with exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and employ critical thinking
  • A desire to continuously learn and improve and dedication to high standards
  • Exhibit a keen interest in and knowledge of the Canadian investment management industry; knowledge of the Canadian pension industry is an asset
  • Advanced user in MS Office Suite, principally with manipulating data in Excel including pivot tables and macros
