Bench

bench

Job description

We acknowledge that Bench headquarters is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Our mission is to make a profound difference in the quality of life of one million people, by removing the financial complexity of entrepreneurship. Businesses need to understand their financial performance, but for many smaller ones, this means a trade-off between doing their books and running their businesses.

Bench solves this dilemma by taking bookkeeping off of their hands.

We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for you to join us on this incredible journey.

What makes the Sales Operations Coordinator an exciting opportunity?

Sitting within our sales team, this role will be helping an exciting group of Sales leaders who speak with entrepreneurs about Bench and how our services might fit into their picture. We are looking for someone who can help support the day-to-day sales activities of the team, work closely with a central Business Operations team for deeper systems and analytical support, and generally make sure that sales leadership has the data and support to get things done!

Here are some of the things you’ll be getting up to:

  • Support the Sales teams’ workflows, reporting, and administration
  • Collaborate with Business Operations on exciting tasks and projects that enhance the performance of Bench’s sales team
  • Liaise with Business Operations for process and tech stack requests and troubleshooting inquiries
  • Coordinating activities, including with Business Operations, related to the onboarding and offboarding of new sales teammates
  • Support and execute the transition planning/management of teammates and their portfolios and targets
  • Create and maintain process and training documentation and help develop new reporting and/or processes
  • Appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audits
  • Supports sales understanding and action with reporting and dashboards.
  • Maintains internal control systems by updating audit programs; recommending new policies and procedures
  • Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees.
  • Identify and implement new and improved reporting, dashboarding and processes to drive decisions and efficiencies that help achieve scale for our team and stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:

  • Are familiar with Google Sheets and are excited to expand your spreadsheet skills
  • Are familiar with Salesforce and are excited to expand your knowledge and experience
  • Have a genuine passion for helping people
  • Be realistic about temporary challenges and setbacks, and use them to motivate yourself and others to achieve targets
  • Embrace feedback with arms wide open and action it to further your success
  • Be able to contribute to a high-performing team by bringing lots of mental horsepower, amazing work ethic, positive energy, and a little weirdness to keep things interesting

The extra details:

  • This is a full-time position, because we want to spend lots of time with your wonderful self
  • This position offers an annual salary based on experience, stock options, and an extended benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, massage, and much more
  • All Benchmates have access to Inkblot Therapy, our virtual counseling service to support mental wellbeing, and Bravely, our confidential, on-demand, 1:1 professional coaching service.
  • Our office has gone fully remote! We’ll set you up with everything you need to work from home, from day one.

We believe that unchecked biases disproportionately impact the most marginalized people in society—including but not limited to BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+ people, immigrants, and people with disabilities. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or other marginalized communities because we believe that without you, we are all less. At Bench, we don’t stand for tokenism. We stand for representation.
