Sago Mini

sago mini

Job description

Do you want to create games that encourage exploration, imagination and discovery? Then come work at Sago Mini where you’ll join a team of designers, developers, artists, builders, thinkers, and doers who make apps that make kids (and parents) giggle.

Sago Mini is actively building a team of people from many cultures and communities. Bringing together talented people with different perspectives and lived experiences makes our team stronger, so we can humbly build things that include, empower and inspire kids around the world.

Your passion for bringing art to life and ability to balance creative vision with technical constraints make you the perfect person to efficiently export assets from Illustrator and Animate and lovingly integrate them into our Unity projects.

This position is a paid internship for 4 months.

Requirements:

  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Animate to edit, organize and export art assets.
  • Comfortable importing and integrating art and audio assets into Unity projects.
  • Ready to methodically peel back the layers to understand how something is built.
  • Able to look at an interaction and articulate why it “feels” good or bad.
  • A strong eye for visual design and a deep appreciation for pixel-perfect accuracy.
  • Familiar with using version control systems like Git to keep projects organized.
  • While this is not a game developer role, Unity/C# programming experience is an asset.

Also Important:

  • A portfolio of great game experiences you’ve made with Unity.
  • Eager to learn new things and solve hard problems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with developers and artists.
  • Practice continuous learning and embrace feedback.
  • Being a clear and confident communicator.

While a resumé is a good start, we also want to see a portfolio of beautiful projects that you have completed. Tell us about work that you’re proud of, your hobbies, and what excites you about working at Sago Mini.
